American actor Mark Margolis has passed away at the age of 83. He is best known for his role as the formidable drug lord Hector Salamanca on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
As reported on August 4 Variety referring to the actor’s son, Margolis died in a hospital in New York on August 3.
According to the plot, Salamanca loses the ability to speak and continues to monitor the drug trade in Albuquerque from a wheelchair. For this role, Mark Margolis was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2012, as well as a Saturn Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Television Series. He starred in other films, including Scarface, Requiem for a Dream, Ace Ventura.
