Mark Hughes has also found a new club. The 1.93 meter tall guard is returning to the second Spanish league and is now under contract with Real Betis Sevilla.
Now the last summer departure has also found a new club: Mark Hughes is moving back to Spain. The American is joining the second division club Real Betis Sevilla. The LEB Oro, who left Neu-Tower Kur Kuath this summer as champion and finals MVPis not new territory for Hughes. Before moving to the Hanseatic city, the 27-year-old laced up his sneakers for Estudiantes Madrid.
Mark Hughes played a total of 50 games for Veolia Towers Hamburg in national and international competition last season. In the easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga, the guard scored an average of eleven points. The fifth-best scorer achieved his personal BBL best (23 points) at the league opener in Ludwigsburg – and was thus instrumental in the 79:87 away win against the MHP Riesen, incidentally the first against the Baroque city team in the Towers’ history. The American also impressed with his offense in the BKT EuroCup. Mostly coming off the bench, Hughes contributed 10.7 points with a three-point percentage of 42.7 percent.
Veolia Towers wishes Mark Hughes all the best for the future, both in his sporting and private life.
