Israel’s military forces said eight of its soldiers, including a captain, were killed Wednesday (2/10) in a clash with terrorists. Hizbullahafter crossing the border into Lebanon.
The Israeli military first reported that its army captain, Eitan Itzhak, was killed in battle, marking Israel’s first combat loss during its invasion of Lebanon.
The Zionist State military then announced again that seven other soldiers had also died in a fight with Hezbollah soldiers.

Pan-Arab media, including Arabic editions The New Arab Al-Araby Al-Jadeedreported a higher death toll, with at least 11 Israeli soldiers killed and dozens more wounded, including three in critical condition.
Israeli media sources reported the death of an Israeli soldier from the Egoz unit of the Army’s 98th Division, also known as the “Firing Formation”, which focuses on guerrilla warfare.
Later, Israeli media reported that the death toll had risen to three soldiers before delivering an Israeli military statement admitting that 8 soldiers had died.
Israel has placed strict orders on the local media reporting on their work on the border with Lebanon.
Hezbollah said in a statement that “a large number” of Israeli soldiers were killed during direct clashes in Adaisseh and Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah accused Israeli forces of hiding the victims.
In another statement, Hezbollah said they had destroyed three Israeli tanks while advancing on a small town on the Lebanese border. They also said they destroyed three Merkava tanks with rockets while advancing on the town of Maroun al-Ras.
Hezbollah also announced that it was engaged in fighting with Israeli infantry since the Zionist State announced that its ground attack on Lebanon began on Tuesday (1/10) at local time in the morning.
New Arab reported earlier that three helicopters were seen transporting wounded Israeli soldiers to Ramban Hospital near Haifa. The Lebanese army said that Israeli soldiers had advanced about 400 meters (yards) across the border and pulled out after a while.
Israeli attacks have killed more than 1,000 people in Lebanon over the past two weeks, nearly a quarter of them women and children, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
