The producers made exactly the right decision, said Skywalker actor Hamill in an interview with “yahoo.com”. “It’s about the new generation. That’s the most important. It’s the opening of a whole new approach to the story.” In general, the 63-year-old jokes that he’s actually very happy not to appear in the trailer. “I always ruin something like this.”
After the first three films, he never expected to set foot on a Star Wars set again. Just as they were supported as young actors by the experienced actors Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Tarkin) and Alec Guiness (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Hamill and Co. now want to support the younger generation with tips. “Now it’s our offspring’s turn.” The upcoming “Star Wars” adventure starts on December 17, 2015 in German cinemas.
