Mannheim. (RNZ) This will be a spectacular halftime show: Mark Forster will appear at the “American Ice Football” in the SAP Arena in Mannheim and sing hits from his upcoming tour. There should also be one or two more musical surprises.
In “American Ice Football”, devised by former television comedian Stefan Raab, four celebrity teams play for a trophy. The “Westside Wessis”, the “Eastside Eastie Boys”, the “Northcoast Naughties” and the “Southside Smoothies” compete in the title fight at American Football on Ice with no-profile bowling shoes and football protective clothing. Afterwards there will be, according to the organizers, the largest pack watching in Germany for the Super Bowl in the hall.

Crashes and pain are the least of the evils that evening. Well done to the celebrities who have already canceled, because only the toughest and most athletic are there. The daring ones who venture onto the ice are Axel Stein, René Casselly, Pascal Hens, Felix van Deventer, Moritz Fürste, Philipp Boy, Kevin Kuske, Paul Janke, Fabian Hambüchen, Thorsten Legat, Calvin Kleinen, Mimi Kraus, Tobias Wegener, Paco Herb, Ailton, Serkan Yavuz, Evil Jared, Jörn Schlönvoigt, Eric Stehfest, Lars Pape, Adriano Salvaggio, Kevin Großkreutz, Frank Stäbler, Stefan Mross, Moritz Hans, Marcel Nguyen, Mike Leon Grosch and a few others. They are each supported by a football professional and a coach.
The show event will be moderated by Elton. The commentator is NFL specialist Frank Buschmann, the field reporter is Mona Stevens, quarterback for the Saarland LadyCanes women’s football team and the German women’s national football team. The organizer points out that children under six are not allowed to watch.
