Corona, Corona, Corona – felt only negative headlines for over a year. But there is another way. A corona love story. And it begins in the Teutoburg Forest.
To be more precise, on a hiking car park in Dissen near Osnabrück. Tina and Mark meet there on Easter Sunday a year ago. The two know each other briefly, but that was years, yes, decades ago. So the meeting is pure coincidence. Or coincidence. Or fate. As one would like. The fact is: Both discovered their love for nature in the first weeks of the corona pandemic and are now going hiking. That day we made a spontaneous decision.
“Totally nice to see familiar face”
“It was really nice to see a familiar face at that time. Not going alone, I was really happy about it,” says Tina. Both come from the same corner in the Osnabrück district. She from Bohmte, he from Bad Essen. In any case, Tina was totally impressed when she saw the old friend in the parking lot. “Good-looking, attractive. And I thought like this: Why didn’t I notice that before? I felt comfortable around him from the start.”
On the way from source to source
In any case, the two will get closer on the six-kilometer hiking trail “From source to source” on Easter Sunday 2020. “That’s where we really got to know each other. That’s why the path means so much to us the faces that it was already sparking, “says Tina.
A love like a long hike
But: It still takes a while until the two are a couple. Two or three more times, the two of them are drawn to the hiking trails until the first kiss comes. They have been inseparable ever since. And: their new love is a little bit like their new hobby, they both think. “It’s like hiking: sometimes stony, sometimes up and down. Sometimes good weather with sunshine, sometimes rain and that’s how our relationship has been for a year. But it’s wonderful to be together in the times of Corona – and not alone.”
