As soon as Chantal is in front of her dog grooming salon, Marjo is shocked. “What are you doing here then?” she says immediately. Marjo is immediately moved when she learns that her children have signed her up for the program, because she is always so busy for others, but never thinks about herself. “That really affects me. I feel seen and that doesn’t happen often.”
Marjo indicates that she had lived a fairly isolated life and that dogs dragged her through it. “If it wasn’t for the dogs, I might not have been there,” she says, bursting into tears. And while Chantal takes over Marjo’s grooming salon, Marjo can join Fred and Leco, who are going to take care of her.

As soon as Leco starts talking to Marjo, he touches a sensitive chord. “When was the last time you felt pretty that you matter?” he asks her. “That was a long time ago,” she admits. Then she bursts into tears. “I have in my head that I am tall and ugly.” Fortunately, Leco is there to reassure her. “I think you are very handsome. And believe me, at the end of the day you will see it too.” Tears also surface in conversation with Fred. “I just want to matter,” says an emotional Marjo. “I grew up with the idea that I don’t belong.
When Leco and Fred are done with Marjo’s makeover, not only Chantal’s mouth falls open, but also Marjo’s own. “I feel sexy,” she says happily. “This was the kick in the butt I needed.” And Marjo’s children are also impressed by the result. “You look stunning”, they both say. And Marjo herself says: “I have really grown in a few hours.”
