Movement between Texan franchises with which Alperen Sengun becomes the starting center of the Rockets

The Dallas Mavericks have traded Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets in exchange for the 26th pick in the 2022 NBA draft and four players with unexpired contracts, including Boban Marjanovic as reported by the Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Dallas will send Serbian center Marquese Chriss, Trey Burke and Sterling Brown to Houston, creating flexibility in the roster and adding Wood as an upgrade at the interior positions. Houston, on the other hand, manages to clear the way for Alperen Sengun, and the one who was the third choice in the Draft becomes the indisputable inside reference.
Wood, 26, averaged 19.1 points and 9.9 rebounds during his two seasons with the Rockets. This season he will earn 14.3 million, the last year of his contract.
