Marius Lundemo has gone to the Cypriot top club

Lundemo’s contract with Rosenborg expires on July 31, but the clubs have agreed on an agreement. On Saturday, RBK’s sports manager Mikael Dorsin confirmed to Adresseavisen that the 26-year-old has gone to Cyprus.

– He has left, Dorsin says to the newspaper.

– I think it seems like an exciting opportunity. And then they were very eager to pick me up. I think it seems exciting to try something abroad. It is a club that is part of Europe, so I thought it was a good fit, Lundemo said Adresseavisen
July 1.

In Cyprus, the 26-year-old gets a reunion with former Rosenborg captain Mike Jensen. His former coach Kåre Ingebrigtsen led the Cypriot club for 46 days before he was fired in February.

Lundemo starts his football career in Bærum before he went to Lillestrøm in 2014. He was there for two years before he was ready for Rosenborg in December 2016. Last season there were 22 matches in the Elite Series for the 26-year-old.

Ghayas Zahid is owned by APOEL and has played 60 league games over two seasons for the Cypriots, but is currently on loan at Greek Panathinaikos.

John Arne Riise has also visited the club. Riise played one season in Cyprus and won both the league and the cup with the yellow jerseys in 2015.
