Marius Borg Høiby had several drugs in his blood when he was attacked

In August, Marius Borg Høiby (27), the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit (51), was arrested for attacking his girlfriend. Now new details are coming to light: Like the Norwegian newspaper VG reports that when his blood was tested it was found that he had cocaine, amphetamines and cannabis in his blood on the fatal night. It was previously believed that he had only consumed alcohol and cocaine before the incident. A mixture of these drugs can have an immense impact on the body and mind.

However, alcohol was not found in Marius’ blood. Since the police only arrested the 27-year-old in the afternoon after the nighttime incident, the alcohol he may have consumed could have already been reduced. The Norwegian himself has not yet commented on the new findings of his blood test – but he previously claimed that he had only consumed cocaine and drank alcohol.

Marius is said to have freaked out in his girlfriend’s apartment on the night of August 4th and threatened and hit her. He was then arrested but released after 30 hours. He then admitted the crime. “Last weekend something happened that should never have happened. I committed bodily harm and destroyed property in an apartment while high on alcohol and cocaine after an argument.”said in a statement issued by his lawyer NRK published.
