The son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Marius Borg Høiby, has admitted to having committed an act of violence. According to his public statement published on his social media, Høiby admitted to having vandalized an apartment and committed bodily harm on August 4, 2024 while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, Blue News reports.
“She did not deserve what happened that night,” he admitted in his statement, while referring to his arrest and the subsequent police investigation. Høiby stressed that he wanted to “tell the truth to the police.”

Also worrying are the statements of Julianne Snekkestad, another ex-girlfriend of Høiby, who reported in her Instagram story about “psychological and physical violence” during their four-year relationship.
Apology and future steps
Despite the allegations and the controversy surrounding him, Høiby has apologized and announced that he will resume his therapeutic treatment. “I want to be held accountable for what I have done,” he assures, and seems determined to continue his path to recovery.
