Marit Larsen became mother – VG

Marit Larsen posted a photo on her official Instagram profile on Wednesday, where she sits at a piano with her daughter.

– Her name is Astrid Ira, and she has been busy keeping distance and writing music for your summer (in 2038, thank you), Larsen writes.

– You can safely say that the birthday concept got a whole new meaning this year, she writes.

The Instagram user has over 35,000 followers, and this is also where she announced in November that she was pregnant.

VG has not succeeded in getting in contact with Larsen’s manager Silje Larsen Borgan.

As a 13-year-old, Marit Larsen was nominated for the Spellemannprisen 1996 for the record Marit & Marion sing famous children’s songs.

Larsen and Marion Ravn formed the duo M2M in the late 90s and early 2000s, which gained international attention. Marit Larsen later worked as a solo artist.

She has had great success with her debut album Under the Surface from 2006, which sold to gold plate in less than a month. During the Spellemann Prize 2006 she won the award for this year’s female artist.

In 2008, her second solo album, The Chase. The first single from the album “If a Song Could Get Me You” went straight to the top of the VG list in its first week.

In 2016 Larsen married former handball player Alexander Buchmann (38), who has 61 national matches for Norway in addition to several years as a professional in Germany, Denmark, France and Spain, among others. The wedding was a secret to the public. Larsen reported the happy news on Instagram when it was all over.

In October, Marit Larsen debuted as author with the children’s book “Der Agnes bor”.

The publisher Cappelen Damm’s website states that the book is an illustrated picture book “about being new, and about belonging”.
