Marion Glenn Rushing (born September 3, 1936 in Pinckneyville, Illinois; † April 26, 2013 there[1]) was an American football player at the position of linebacker.
Rushing attended the Pinckneyville Community High School in his birthplace. He later attended Southern Illinois University.
After Ruhsing was not taken into consideration in the 1959 NFL Draft, the Chicago Cardinals took him. The newly founded Atlanta Falcons selected him in the 1966 expansion draft. In his first season with the Falcons, he caught three interceptions. During the 1968 season he moved to the Houston Oilers. After the season he ended his professional career.
In 1978, Rushing was inducted into the Southern Illinois College Football Team Hall of Fame.[2] In addition, a road near the stadium was built in 2010 Southern Illinois Saluki named after him.[3]
