In mid-December, Hermoso told us that the future is still unclear, but that was also before he could negotiate with other clubs.
The 28-year-old has previously – in addition to Espanyol – also played for clubs such as Real Madrid Castilla and Real Valladolid.
Hermoso also has five caps for Spain on his record.
Atlético Madrid is currently in fourth place in the La Liga table, behind Barcelona, Girona and Real Madrid.
