Mario Gomez stops watching. At the age of 34, he helped Stuttgart promote to the Bundesliga. It was the last achievement of the goal getter, which was particularly successful at Bayern Munich.
A defeat (1-3) against Darmstadt could not spoil the fun last weekend. Stuttgart finishes second and – like Bielefeld – promotes to the Bundesliga. Mario Gomez, who scored the only goal for Stuttgart, was his last game as a pro.

The striker was champion three times in Germany and once in Turkey, with Besiktas. He played 78 times for the Mannschaft, hitting 31 times. In the Bundesliga he shot no less than 170 times. Due to a serious injury, Gomez missed the 2014 World Cup, in which Germany crowned itself world champion.
