Marinela and her daughter a few months before he killed her

She angrily pressed his head with a pillow, ran away from home after the murder, and her father told the police that she was gone a month later.
22-year-old Marinela Marinova from the Pleven village of Lazarovo strangled her daughter because of a broken glass, and then set fire to the corpse to cover her tracks, 24 Chasa has learned.
14 years in prison is the punishment for a felony, it became clear on Monday when Marinela pleaded guilty at the first hearing in the case. She was detained in January, and her daughter’s murder dates back to October 22, when the child was 1 year and 9 months old. In the months from the murder to the arrest of the young mother, she showed no signs of worrying about the absence of the child wanted by her father.
Marinela raised him alone. The father did not recognize him and did not help. However, he did not lack anything and grew up in decent conditions for the village near Knezha. On the fateful day, Marinela became nervous because her daughter did not listen to her. She yelled at her several times to stop making white. When the girl knocked down a glass that broke on the floor, the mother’s anger erupted. She grabbed the child and laid him on the bed. She took the pillow and began to press the girl’s head with it. When her anger passed, she released him. The girl showed no signs of life.

Marinela was frightened and decided to cover her tracks. She picked up the body and carried it to an outbuilding of the house. She set it on fire there. She said nothing to her father, Sasho, with whom they shared a roof and who helped her raise the child. Immediately afterwards, the mother left the village.
One month after the November 23 murder, Sasho Marinov told social services and police that his daughter had left their home with her child and had never seen them again. It was not until December 23 that the child was declared wanted nationwide. Then criminologists from Sofia joined the work on the case. Together with colleagues from Pleven they find Marinela. In a conversation with police officers and psychologists, he confessed to the crime. She takes investigators to her home and shows her where she set fire to her child’s body. DNA was extracted from the remains, which proves the mother’s story.
The forensic psychiatric examination has established that Marinela is sane. Relationships in the family were normal. Social services and the police did not have to intervene.
The 56-year-old grandfather of
the murdered child did not know
for the crime,
committed by his daughter. Otherwise, he was also a suspect in the beginning. He has been convicted and has a criminal record.
Residents of the village of Lazarovo still cannot believe that Marinela lived like this, as if nothing had happened since the murder. She regularly met with friends in Knezha and Pleven, visited restaurants, took selfies on social networks.
The young woman graduated from the high school of agriculture in Knezha, but did not work after the birth of her daughter.
Marinela’s mother and the grandmother of the strangled and burning child killed one of her children more than 20 years ago, residents of the village of Lazarovo recall.
The sentence of 14 years in prison for the young mother is not final and can be appealed to the Court of Appeal in Veliko Tarnovo. The law also provides for life imprisonment for this crime, but Marinela Marinova has not been convicted another time, she cooperated in the investigation and admitted her guilt at the first hearing in the case.
