The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, accuses the actress and her “romantic partner,” artist Illma Gore, of fabricating malicious charges against Marilyn Manson, including impersonating an FBI agent to incite ” potential accusers to emerge simultaneously with allegations of rape and assault”.
The two women are accused of providing the accusers with “lists and scripts” and making “false statements to potential accusers” as part of a project that “could benefit both of them”.
Marilyn Manson is asking for a jury trial to put an end to these allegations and assess the damages owed to her. His lawyers claim in the complaint that Illma Gore “hacked” into his computers, telephone, email and other social media accounts and call these actions “invasive, harassing, defamatory and harmful”.
Marilyn Manson posted her complaint on Twitter, commenting, “The time will come when I can share more about the events of the past year. Until then, I’ll let the facts speak for themselves.”
Evan Rachel Wood had made public in January his accusations, denied by the singer, in the HBO documentary “Phoenix Rising”, presented at the Sundance Film Festival and due to be released in mid-March.
