Marilyn Manson – Shocking Abuse Allegations

NEW YORK (Dagbladet): I a lawsuitwas submitted to the authorities in New York on Monday, the musician is accused of sexually assaulting a girl in the mid-1990s, writes The Guardian.

In the lawsuit, Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in 1995 and then again in 1999.

The new accusation comes less than a week after Manson filed a settlement with actress Esmé Bianco. She sued him in April 2021, accusing him of rape and sexual assault.

Several other women have also gone public with accusations against Marilyn Manson. Most famous is the actress Evan Rachel Wood.

Denies

– Manson has vehemently denied all allegations of sexual assault or abuse of anyone, Manson’s lawyer states.

The artist also sued Wood for defamation and emotional distress.

The new lawsuit has been filed under the New York Adult Survivors Act. It is a law which is intended to give victims of sexual assault the opportunity to sue regardless of when the crime allegedly occurred. Without this law, charges like the most recent one could be out of date.

The woman behind the lawsuit is also anonymous, but lives in Maryland and was born in 1979. The lawsuit claims that Manson first tried on the plaintiff in 1995 when she was only 16 years old. According to the accusation, Manson will have used his role, status and power as an adult and artist in the music industry to gain access to, “groom”, manipulate and exploit her.

It should have resulted in two cases of sexual assault, according to the lawsuit.

– Then, in 1999, when the plaintiff was approximately 19 years old, the defendant Warner continued to groom, manipulate, exploit and sexually assault the plaintiff for a period of approximately four weeks, the lawsuit states.

The record company Nothing Records and the distributor Interscope Music Publishing are also defendants in the case. They are accused of being “aware” of Manson’s “practice of sexual abuse of minors, and aiding and abetting such conduct.”

– The defendant’s pedophile obsession and violent behavior was not only known to the defendants Interscop and Northing Records, but it was celebrated and promoted for their joint financial gain, the lawsuit states.

– Suffered severely

Neither Interscope nor Universal Music – which owned the now defunct record label Nothing Label – have so far commented on the lawsuit.

– The plaintiff suffered severe emotional, physical and psychological distress, including shame and guilt, financial loss, and emotional loss. Humiliation, shame and horror, which she will continue to carry with her for the rest of her life, the lawsuit states.

Now the plaintiff is demanding an unspecified amount of compensation.

– For far too long, abusers in the music industry have had to hide in broad daylight and think they are above the law. Today we demand that Warner be punished, so he knows he can no longer run away from his day in court, says one of the plaintiff’s lawyers, Jeff Anderson, according to The Guardian.
