A shipment of marijuana that was destined for the European continent was seized by the Police in the north of Huila.
The hallucinogen, which was transported in a truck, was seized by units of the Police Traffic and Transportation Section, after investigative work carried out by the Police Intelligence Directorate in coordination with the United Kingdom Special Forces.
The commander of the Police in Huila, Colonel Gustavo Adolfo Camargo, stated that the uniformed officers seized 550 kilos of marijuana, which would have left Cauca bound for San José del Guaviare “and then taken to Brazil with its final destination on the European Continent.”
The officer indicated that in the operation, in addition to the seizure of the illicit substance, one person was captured.
He added that so far this year, 15 tons of marijuana have been seized, valued at more than 17 billion pesos.
