The 29th day of the National 2 championship, this Saturday, May 27, allowed Marignane-Gignac to validate its rise to National. Épinal and GOAL FC are very close.
After FC Rouen (group A), a second passenger took up position on Saturday evening in the elevator for the National*. Marignane-Gignac Côte Bleue FC took advantage of the penultimate day of National 2 to secure first place in Group C, despite a defeat at home. The Provençal club will thus find next season a third national level where it has already played in 2018-2019.
The National, SA Épinal (group B) and GOAL FC (group D) are now very close. The Vosges and the Rhodaniens will indeed approach the last day, Saturday June 3, with two points ahead of their pursuers. Their future therefore depends only on them.
Conversely, Stade Rennais 2 (group A), ASM Belfort, FC Metz 2 (group B), AS Saint-Priest (group C) and FC Nantes 2 (group D) have grown the ranks of the relegated.

GROUP A
Rennes leaves the stage
►Le FC Rouen, assured leader of the climb (1st, 66 pts), added a twentieth success to his collection thanks to a double from Christopher Ibayi (39 sp, 90th) against the red lantern C’Chartres (2-1) who did not gave in only at the end. More than 6,500 spectators celebrated the Red Devils at Robert-Diochon.
►Le Stade Rennais 2 (13th) will evolve in National 3 next season after his loss to Blois Foot (2-0), which thus validates his maintenance.
►The last ejection seat will be played between the reserve of theOF Guingamp (11th) and Evreux FC (12th). Three points separate the two teams following the success of the Bretons over Vannes (1-0) and the draw (3-3) of the Normans in Saint-Malo (main photo). And they will be opposed next Saturday for the last day!

GROUP B
Épinal hurts them
►Le SA Epinal may have struck a decisive blow by winning (3-2) at FC 93 BBG in a crucial duel for the climb. Karim Coulibay (74th) and Ali M’Madi (79th) tipped the game in five minutes while the Vosges were down 2-1. This home defeat marks the end of Balbynian hopes (3rd, 52 pts). The Spinaliens (1st, 57 pts) will have their future in hand next Saturday when they receive US Saint-Maur Lusitanos.
►Because at the same time, the FC Fleury 91 was held in respect in Sainte-Geneviève (0-0), which puts the Essonniens (55 pts) two lengths behind the leader before the curtain goes down…
►In the struggle to maintain, theOlympic Saint-Quentin gleaned three crucial points away at the Stade de Reims (2-1). The Picards come out of the red zone (11th, 35 pts) and cause the loss of the FC Metz 2 (despite a success on Wasquehal 4-2) andASM Belfort (beaten by Colmar, 0-1), now condemned.

GROUP C
Marignane-Gignac beaten but promoted
►The Marignane-Gignac CBFC (1st, 56 pts) formalized his accession to the National with… a defeat. The Provençals were indeed surprised at home by Toulon SC (1-2), who came to pocket three precious points for their possible maintenance. A setback, however, without consequence because behind, neither Lyon-La Duchère nor Grasse were able to take advantage of it.
►Lyon-La Duchere (3rd, 51 pts) lost at home to Louhans-Cuiseaux (0-2), another poorly ranked player, while the RC Pays de Grasse (2nd, 51 pts) was held in check at Aubagne FC (2-2).
►The struggle to maintain was fatal to theAS Saint-Priest (15th), beaten at Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël (1-0) and officially relegated. OL2 (14th) are in bad shape after their defeat at Canet (1-0). The last three relegated places will be played between Aubagne (36 pts), Alès, Toulon, Louhans-Cuiseaux and Canet-en-Roussillon (all 35 pts).

GROUP D
GOAL on pole, Bergerac cracks
►Le GOAL FC emerged victorious from the shock which led him to the ground of the leader, Les Herbiers (3-1). Goals from Florian Raspentino (18th), Alexis Goncalves (60th) and a csc from Vendée (69th) allowed the Rhodaniens to win in front of 3,000 spectators and to settle at the head of the group with two lengths in advance.
►Disillusion awaited the Bergerac-Périgord FC at the turn in Andrézieux-Bouthéon. Trapped 2-1 in the 91st minute by Ligerians looking for support, the Dordognots (3rd, 47 pts) saw their dream of climbing once again vanish.
►At the bottom of the table, the reserve of the FC Nantes (13th) obtained against SO Romorantin (3-2) a victory which does not preserve it from the descent. Andrézieux-Bouthéon (11th, 37 pts) and FC Lorient 2 (12th, 36 pts) are on waivers for the last place in relegation.
