Marieke has been driving electrically for almost 3 years now, but she has never been stranded along the road with an empty battery. “I just drove on for too long,” says the radio DJ. “I thought: it’s still possible. Marieke has double bad luck tonight because not only does she have an empty battery, she also finds out after calling the ANWB that her lease contract includes a breakdown service. “I didn’t know,” she sighs in her Instagram Stories. “Now I have concluded a very expensive ANWB contract. Really stupid, I called in a panic.”
Finally, around 1:28 AM, her saving angel arrives. “I don’t think I’ll ever run my car empty again.”
