In an interview, the actress shared that she no longer wants to continue playing the same character, because she thinks she is at an age – 74 years old – in which she should no longer continue acting, because she does not want to “give pity.”
“Yes and I’ll tell you why: I hope it will be a long, quite extensive tour. So if I’m 74 years old, how many more years can I be on stage? I don’t want to give people pity, so ‘My Mother’s Eggs’ is going to be the last thing,” María Antonieta told El Colombiano.

She mentioned that it is something unfortunate for her because she feels that her character makes her become a girl again, but she knows that the energy is not the same. She said: “It wasn’t a challenge for me to portray the same girl as the years went by because I transform when I wear her clothes.”
