Slovak hockey player Marián Studenič is moving from New Jersey to Dallas within the NHL. The leadership of the Stars withdrew the 23-year-old striker from a waiver list, on which he was written “devils”.

Studenič has so far played 25 games in the NHL with a balance of two goals and one assist. In Dallas, he will meet the defender Andrej Seker, who, however, the club management has entered on the list of long-term injured players.

Studenič has been a part of the New Jersey Devils since 2015, when the club drafted him in the 5th round from 143rd place. He spent most of his time in the organization of “devils” on a farm in the AHL. He made his first team debut in the 2020/2021 season, during which he played a total of 8 games in the NHL with a balance of 1 goal and 1 assist. In the current year 2021/2022 he scored 17 starts, in which he scored 1 goal.

He signed his first contract with Devils in April 2018 and was for three years. After its expiration, in the summer of 2021, he agreed with the club on a new annual contract, which will expire after the current year.

Studenič can become the fifth Slovak hockey player to play for the Dallas Stars. In addition to Andrej Seker (154 matches), Ladislav Nagy (32), Ľubomír Sekeráš (4) and Róbert Petrovický (5) also wore the club’s jersey in front of him.

A celebratory ride through the city through the eyes of hockey players. Thousands of fans were waiting for them in the streets:
