María Victoria Gil, former presenter of the television program ‘De la Gran Escena’ and sister of the former Minister of Economy, Alejandro Gil Fernández, sent a message of gratitude to the Castro authorities after they let her leave the Island despite the corruption case against his brother.
The woman recently traveled from Spain to Havana, returning a week later to the Iberian country without having presented any problems.
“I also thank the Cuban authorities for not having bothered me at any time,” the woman wrote in a lengthy post shared on Facebook.
According to this post, the woman only has words of gratitude for the regime, since they did not subject her to any interrogation during her stay on the Island and allowed her to leave the country without trying to arrest her, as usually happens with any other person related to anyone who is classified as a criminal by the authorities.
In this way, the woman seemed to disassociate herself from any illegal activity carried out by her brother, designated by the regime as corrupt.
“My conscience is clear. I love my country and I adore my people. I am incapable of profiting from the sacrifice of my fellow men. I love you immeasurably and I will always be on the side of truth, honesty and justice,” she wrote.
The woman was recently criticized online for the fact that she dedicated herself to walking and enjoying the good life with her friends while her brother was facing serious charges. The former presenter was even caught singing in Villa Pastorita, where she seemed to be free of any worries while his brother, sister-in-law and niece are in custody.
“I don’t know how I managed to sing, I don’t know the way some notes came out of my throat due to so much emotion. To the public, my infinite love and to all the Cuban people who supported me in the streets, who hugged me, who applauded me,” he wrote about it, sharing videos of those songs.
It is important to remember that these words of gratitude come after the host seriously criticized the regime for having dismissed her brother in February, before the corruption charges became public.
“Once again, I feel hurt, disappointed with the government we have in our country, the misgovernment and the shamelessness. A person like my brother, the only thing he has done is sacrifice, work, give his life. “He who really knows me, he who really knows my brother, knows perfectly well that the only thing he has done is give his life to a corrupt, failed system, wrong to the core,” he said from Spain shortly after it was made. publish the news.
