Maria Jungner’s sister published a touching text in honor of the TV announcer’s memory.
TV announcer Maria Jungner has been laid to rest in the grave about two weeks after his death. Maria’s sister Saara tells about it in her recent Instagram post.
– Yesterday we sent you on your last journey. But yes, Minni dear, we are waiting for the day of fairy tales together, Saara says and calls her sister by her nickname.
Down Liesimaa
Saara describes Maria as her sister, substitute mother and friend. He says that he misses his sister very much.
– You loved so many things. Opera, books, trips, our summer place in Mustio, art, beauty, high-heeled shoes, (which the rest of us couldn’t walk in even if we tried) cooking, mushroom picking, trips together, evenings out, Christmas, family parties, the Frendit series (there was always a phrase from the series for every situation) , movies, theater, poems. But above all, you loved your loved ones. Your friends, your family and most of all your daughters Rebeccaa and Joanna.
– I hear your laugh and your voice when I close my eyes. I feel your love and warmth. I’m waiting for your rates to ring. I will always love you. I will always miss you, he writes.
Saara has finished her post Edith Södergran a poem. According to Saara, Maria had once sent the poem in question to her because it reminded the TV announcer of her sister.
The beginning of the poem reads:
I once had a sister, a golden child.
He drowned from me in the crowd of the city.
