Dancing with the Stars already has its winner. María Isabel won the victory in the grand finale of the Telecinco talent show. After three months of competition, the jury and the audience chose the singer as the fair winner of the dance program after the controversial classification of the Galician Bruno Vila in the final.
Adrián Lastra, Athenea Pérez, Bruno Vila and María Isabel had to demonstrate their great dancing skills on stage up to three times with different choreographies: the first of them, imposed by the jury; the second, an exhibition dance; and, the last one, chosen by the contestants themselves from among those they had already developed throughout the program.
María Isabel, the winner of the second edition of the format, began the gala with an Argentine tango imposed by the program’s jury, continued the night with an exhibition dance with a marked art of her Andalusian roots and ended her stage with Bailando con las stars with a rumba bolero, this being his favorite style of those he has performed during his participation in the contest.
The artist’s surprise was enormous when she learned of her victory: “I swear on my daughter that I didn’t think I would win,” she said. Thus, María Isabel, along with her dancer Luis Montoro, led the podium, followed by Adrián Lastra, in second place; Bruno Vila, who won the bronze medal, and Athenea, who had to settle for fourth place in the competition.
