María de los Ángeles López Celis will speak at the Roquetas de Mar Book Fair about her works and politics

ROQUETAS DE MAR (ALMERIA), 6 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The author María de los Ángeles López Celis is going to participate in the Roquetas de Mar Book Fair (Almería) to present her work ‘The other children of God’ and talk about current politics through a colloquium that will take place at 12 00 hours on May 8 at the Castillo de Santa Ana.

This has been transferred by the organization in a note after the inauguration of this event with the presence of Víctor del Árbol, Nadal Prize for Novel, who offered an emotional inaugural speech, and the writer Manuel Vilas, who chatted with the attendees about his latest work Titled ‘The Kisses’.

The fair, organized by Círculo Rojo in collaboration with the Roquetas de Mar City Council and sponsored by Hidralia, will now feature María de los Ángeles López Celis, who has been part of the cabinet of five government presidents, from Adolfo Suárez, whom she describes as “a second father”, even José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, whom he considers “a calm man”.

Thus, the author describes her experiences with other leaders such as Calvo Sotelo, whose “great sense of humor” stands out, Felipe González, whom she defines as “a seducer”, and José María Aznar, with whom she acknowledges “not having hit it off too well “.

Those attending the colloquium will be able to share with the writer “the most intimate face of politics” that she herself reflects in works such as ‘The Deputy’ and ‘The Presidents in Slippers’. The organization points out that the most important issues in the history of Spain have passed through the hands of López de Celis.

Likewise, she confesses that she is proud to have experienced the Spanish Transition first-hand and although in several interviews she has confessed “her inclination towards the left”, she recognizes herself as “objective” in her opinions.
