This is the reconstruction that led the police to arrest, a few hours after the woman’s body was found, a 17-year-old boy who lives in the town, allegedly held responsible for murder. Maria Campai, 42 years old, of Romanian nationality, she had been missing since last friday 20th septemberthey were also looking for it with molecular dogs. They had put up posters all over the country and his case had even gone to thethe attention of the Rai program «Who saw it». The 42nd was disappear into thin air in Viadana, a town in the Mantua region, where she had arrived on the evening of September 19 with a friend from Parma. From that moment the investigations beganwith a hypothesis of voluntary removalcoordinated by the Viadana Carabinieri Order. Research that also included molecular dogshoping their intuition might lead to an answer. During the patrols the men of the Carabinieri also gathered witness the friend who was with her. The latter, however, would not have been able to provide detailed information, as the 42-year-old would have remained vague.
However, what became clear to her sister and her friend, at least, was that the 42-year-old she seemed ready to change her life after a – even recent – rather difficult past. Be that as it may, there was no time at the turning point that Maria would like to accept. For now an answer – the worst of many possible – arrived late yesterday morning, when the 42-year-old now found lifeless.
The rapid investigations by the Carabinieri on the military on the Mantua regional command and the Viadana station were directed to arrest the 17-year-old. The victim’s body was examined by medical examiner Antonello Cirnelliwhose duty is also to verify whether the fatal wounds Maria Campai may be the cause which belongs to the boy.
