Princess Beatrix will be in Denmark on Friday to celebrate that Dutch farmers have been active in the country for five hundred years. The princess was received by Queen Margrethe on the island of Amager, where several activities were planned.
Beatrix started the day with a reception at Dragør Town Hall. The princess and queen then left for the Amager Museum for an exhibition about the local history and the arrival of the Dutch. Beatrix and Margrethe then visited another exhibition devoted to Dutch history on Amager.
The visit ended with a visit to a farm. There the princess and queen were given a tour of the originally Dutch farming family who grow herbs, flowers and vegetables.
