‘Ms. Monopoly’ Game Gets Movie Adaptation Starring Margot Robbie
Lionsgate and Hasbro Team Up with LuckyChap to Produce Movie
LOS ANGELES – Margot Robbie, the renowned actress and film producer, is set to bring the beloved board game “Monopoly” to the big screen. Lionsgate and Hasbro recently announced their collaboration with Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap, to develop a film based on the popular game. This news, revealed at the CinemaCon conference in Las Vegas, received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Lionsgate also confirmed the signing of a deal with LuckyChap, the production company co-founded by Robbie along with Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara. Robbie’s involvement and her successful track record in bringing “Barbie” to theaters after years of development generated high anticipation for the “Monopoly” movie.

With the acquisition of eOne completed in December 2023, Lionsgate currently holds the development rights for the movie adaptation of the multi-generational board game.
