Margot Robbie Recreates Superstar Barbie Look at Golden Globe Awards

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – “Barbie” star Margot Robbie has recreated another classic look worn by one of Mattel’s best-selling dolls.

This time, the actress embodied the Superstar Barbie doll from 1977 at the Golden Globe Awards, appearing in a bright pink evening dress designed by Armani Privé.

Robbie, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, wore jewelry studded with more than $3 million worth of pink and white diamonds by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, as well as pink Manolo Blahnik shoes.

The vintage doll, which was recently re-released, featured diamond jewelry that “glittered under disco lights” and matching high-heeled shoes that “completed her vibrant look.”

When talking about her decision to wear pink, Robbie joked on the red carpet: “I just woke up and thought, ‘Maybe this would be appropriate.'”
