Margot Hellwig is one of the great names in folk music. But she has parted with her fortune, which she has accumulated through music.
Munich – She is considered one of the great numbers of folk musicians in Germany. Margot Hellwig once stood on the stages as a celebrated star. She delighted her fans and probably made a huge fortune with her music. However, all the money is no longer in her possession, as she now reveals.
Together with her mother, she celebrated huge successes as the folk music duo Margot and Maria Hellwig. With “Servus, Gruezi und Hallo” they landed a huge hit, which also became the theme song of their RTL show of the same name. Margot Hellwig was on stage with her music for 65 years – in 2015 she said goodbye to the same with a duet with Florian Silbereisen. With so many years of folk music career, there is of course a lot of merit. But she has now completely given away her fortune.

Hellwig only celebrated her 80th birthday at the beginning of July. Shortly thereafter, she admitted in an interview with the Week of the Woman as far as their assets are concerned: “I have given everything to the children”. The reason for her action is that she wanted to prevent such a possible inheritance dispute after her death. Even her account is now managed by her sons. And that’s not all: she no longer owns her house in Munich either. But she has the right to live for life, she explained.
With this step, she probably also wants to put away any worries about her inheritance at an early stage. She obviously does not do this with the new administrators of her assets. “I have good children,” she says of her two grown-up sons.
Margot Hellwig has already planned her funeral
But maybe the whole thing is also a little preparation for an emergency. Margot Hellwig was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2014, as she said in an interview with the Colorful betrayed. “My doctor says I’m old, the cancer would grow slowly anyway when it grows,” she said at the time. In conversation with the Week of the Woman she now also revealed that she had already planned her funeral. This should take place in the closest family circle. “I just want to have children, children-in-law and grandchildren,” she said. However, until then she still intends to live for many years.
Another former hit star now also admitted that he no longer had any assets – albeit out of personal negligence. In the meantime, the “King of Mallorca” recently made a diagnosis public and announced: “The Jürgen Drews of the past will no longer exist”. (they have)
