Marge Simpson has advice for a lawyer for President Donald Trump’s campaign: Don’t insult.
In a video posted Friday by Fox’s animated series “The Simpsons,” Marge berated the attorney for a tweet that compared her voice to that of Democratic vice presidential contender Senator Kamala Harris.
“I don’t usually get into politics, but the president’s adviser, Jenna Ellis, just said that Kamala Harris sounds like me,” Marge says in the video, adding that her daughter Lisa pointed out that “she didn’t say it as a compliment.”

“If so, as an ordinary suburban housewife, I’m starting to feel a little disrespectful,” adds Marge. “I teach my children not to insult, Jenna.”
A few days ago, Trump tweeted that the “suburban housewife will vote for me” because “I ended the age-old program where low-income housing would invade her neighborhood.”
Harris of California was introduced this week as the running mate of virtual Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. The party’s convention will be next week, largely virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ellis, a lawyer for Trump’s re-election campaign, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The campaign also did not respond when asked for comment.
On Tuesday, Ellis posted on Twitter that “Kamala sounds like Marge Simpson.”
The long-running series “The Simpsons” is known for taunting public figures and celebrities, including Trump. Actress Julie Kavner voices Marge Simpson.
