Marelli shock absorbers with energy recovery
Marelli’s idea is brilliant: in fact the new electro-mechanical suspension of the well-known Italian company is characterized by four electric actuators connected to the suspension arm, which interacts with the classic shock absorberbut it is equipped with a spring.
It is composed of small electric motors that are capable of generating a movement of the arm to which they are anchored and their type of action is managed by a control unit that studies the forces and acceleration parameters, suspension work or wheel angle. In this way the effort that is generated is less costly in terms of structural wear and at the same time also consumption level.
