In a statement, Marek Maślanka says that he made the decision after consultations with advisors who supported him “in trying to solve the debt crisis” in companies related to Janusz Palikot.

“We agree that achieving the expected effects of the restructuring in which we are engaged – in the light of new facts – is impossible, and the entire process does not properly protect the interests of creditors,” explains the businessman.
He adds that “in the dispersed organizational structure of Palikot’s business, a lot of information reached him with a delay.
“I had difficult access to documentation and reliable information on the condition of the companies included in the group. After the creditors accepted the arrangement proposals presented for Manufaktura Piwa Wódki i Wina in November 2023, circumstances emerged that made it impossible to implement the business scenario in which we were involved,” we read in the statement.
“However, we do not claim that other scenarios are impossible to implement,” the investor notes.

Maślanka declares that “as the only creditor, since mid-2023, when Janusz Palikot’s holding began to have serious financial problems, it has made a number of attempts to support this project to save it.” “I was guided by the desire to repay the creditors of the companies managed by Janusz Palikot and the vision of everyone’s success. Today, like many of them, I am disappointed with the situation in which the Group finds itself,” he notes.
“With the good of all stakeholders in mind, I consider it particularly important to provide reliable information about my role and my position in the context of all activities aimed at dealing with the economic problems of the Manufaktura Piwa Wódki i Wina Group,” he writes.
The investor expects that attempts will now be made to hold him “responsible for the actions and declarations undertaken and made by the creator of the project.” “I strongly emphasize that I have fulfilled all my promises and I will not allow my good name, as well as the good name and reputation of my companies, to be slandered,” we read.
“At the beginning of January 2024, Mr. Janusz Palikot publicly and, among others, in my presence with the participation of representatives of the Manufaktura staff, declared that a new investor in his alcohol venture had been found. Therefore, I declare that I am ready to immediately sell all my assets from the alcohol industry to Janusz Palikot or a new investor,” Maślanka announces.
“I have been pointing this out since I increased my involvement in trying to save this venture. I commissioned lawyers to analyze the existing contracts binding my company with Mr. Janusz Palikot’s venture,” adds the businessman.
Another investor gives up
As noted by the “Rzeczpospolita” daily, the decision does not mean an abrupt end to the relationship, if only because Marek Maślanka, in total, personally and through his company MDM and through indirect companies, is a shareholder in Manufaktura, has approximately 18 percent. shares. “The fate of Kraftowe Alkohole, a company established by Maślanka to cooperate with the MPWiW Group, which today is stocked with alcohols with Manufaktura brands and is involved in various investments, such as a de-alcoholization line, is not yet certain. However, they are not a shareholder in MPWiW,” we read.
According to the newspaper, the businessman has been trying to save Palikot’s business at least since mid-2023, when he published an attempt to analyze the holding’s financial analysis. “It was then that information appeared that Manufaktura had borrowed money at 240 percent annually from one of the loan companies,” we read.
Previously, Kuba Wojewódzki announced the termination of cooperation with Janusz Palikot. “I have not had contact with Janusz or the company’s authorities for many months. I am on the path of formally ending my presence there,” he informed.
