Marechaussee finds 13 foreign nationals on train and in ports | Inland

On Tuesday, marechaussees found four men on the train near Breda who did not have valid travel documents with them. It concerned an Iraqi, Moroccan, Algerian and a Libyan. The four were taken to the brigade of the military police in Hoogerheide for further investigation. An Algerian and Moroccan were found in a trailer at the port area near Europoort. They had cut open the trailer’s tarpaulin and hid themselves among the cargo to travel unnoticed to England.

Moments later, at the exit check in Hoek van Holland, an Iranian and Moroccan man were found in a truck, who had crawled in through the roof. During the search, a sharp object was found with which they had cut open the roof tarpaulin. Then two more men from Algeria were found in Hoek van Holland, hiding under a truck on the axles.

Wednesday morning, a tracker dog of a transporter in Europoort hit a trailer, in which three men were hidden. Their identity has yet to be established.
