Marcus Rashford is looking good for Manchester United this season. However, the 25-year-old player is required to contribute more than just goals.
Throughout this season, Rashford has scored 17 goals in 28 matches played. In terms of assists, MU’s number 10 player is still minimal, only recording six.
Rashford’s last goal was scored when MU lost to Arsenal in the Premier League continued last weekend. Rashford scored the first goal in the match at the Emirates Stadium which ended in a 3-2 win for Arsenal.
Former MU player, Paul Parker, reveals more demands on Rashford. Instead of continuing to try to pass opponents, Rashford was asked to contribute more to the team.
“You have to give respect that he scores goals, but he also has to make other contributions and he never did that. He tried to dribble past three defenders with his eyes closed and praying,” Parker told Sportskeeda.
“I don’t like what I see in him in general, but it’s also very difficult to put him on the bench because the other strikers are worse than him,” he added.
MU will play again, Thursday (26/1/2023) in the morning WIB. The Red Devils will play the first leg of the English League Cup semifinal at the City Ground. Rashford’s energy is needed by MU to break into the opponent’s goal.
Moment IN against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League this season, Rashford contributed one goal and one assist. MU won 3-0 in the match which took place at Old Trafford on 27 December 2022.
