Marco van Basten is surprised about Jeffrey Bruma’s performance against PSV. The sc Heerenveen defender has helped his former employer in the saddle, notes Saint Mark.
Heerenveen led 1-3 in the Philips Stadium. In the end it was 3-3, partly due to Bruma’s weak moments. “That Jeffrey Bruma, he also played for PSV, right?”, Van Basten asks on the Ziggo Sport program Rondo off. “I’m starting to doubt whether he had an influence on the result. But maybe that’s just me.”
Bruma didn’t look good at 2-3. “Here he does nothing, nothing at all,” said Van Basten, who then discussed the penalty moment. Bruma knocked down Xavi Simons in the box. “He had plenty of time, man… I was a bit surprised. He did remarkably poorly.” Presenter Wytse van der Goot and table guests Rafael van der Vaart and Khalid Boulahrouz burst into laughter. “It surprised me a bit, but of course you can’t think anything bad about it,” concludes Van Basten.
