Italian goalkeeper Marco Sportiello is joining Milan, the club confirmed this Wednesday morning.
Sportiello, 31, signed a contract valid until June 30, 2027, that is, for four seasons.
The transalpine goalkeeper thus ends a lifelong connection in football to Atalanta, a club he represented during training and to which he was always connected as a senior, despite some loans.
After training, Sportiello was loaned by Atalanta to Seregno, Poggibonsi and Carpi 1909, in his first senior years, from 2010 to 2013. Then, he defended the Atalanta goal from 2013/2014 until the middle of the 2016/2017 season. He ended up on loan for a season and a half to Fiorentina until the summer of 2018 and in 2018/19 he was loaned to Frosinone, until he was at the Bergamo club for the last four years.
In Milan, Sportiello will wear the number 57 jersey.
