Vice champion Borussia Dortmund still has to do without captain Marco Reus. The 31-year-old has problems with tendinitis on the previously injured adductor muscles and, according to BVB, “fails indefinitely”.
The national team suffered a tendon tear in the thigh at the beginning of February at the cup out at Werder Bremen. As the club announced on Thursday, Reus “still has problems with some movements”.
“Tendon is still inflamed”
A conservative therapeutic approach is followed in the treatment of the injury. “Unfortunately, the tendon is still inflamed. It is difficult to make a timely forecast,” said sports director Michael Zorc.
Defense chief Mats Hummels also buckled during individual training and injured his ankle. “The planning is that he will train in parts with the team in Bad Ragaz,” said Zorc. The training camp in Switzerland will take place from August 10th to 17th.
