”Rolls Reus” was born in Dortmund in 1989 and received his football upbringing in the yellow and black club.

Now his career at Borussia Dortmund is over.

– It is important for me to tell the supporters first. I have dedicated half my life to this club, he says.

After a short stay in Borussia Mönchengladbach, Reus returned to his childhood club in 2012. Since then, he has been involved in winning two cup titles and playing in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

Now he hopes to lead the team to another final.

Dortmund recently won the first Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain 1-0. In a possible final, they could once again face Bayern Munich (or Real Madrid).

– I am proud to have been able to represent the club for so many years. We have a big goal in mind. We want to go to Wembley and we want to bring home the trophy once more. So full focus on upcoming matches, says Reus.

At the time of writing, the midfielder is credited with 168 goals and 128 assists in 424 first-team games for Borussia Dortmund.
