Marco Mathieu, journalist and former bassist of Negazione, died. Mathieu was 57 years old and spent the last four years in a vegetative coma following a stroke that hit him while he was on a Vespa.

Born in Turin on March 6, 1964, as a young bass player of Negazione, a historic Turin hardcore punk band very active between 1983 and 1992, with over a thousand concerts and five albums, he had become the deputy head of the sports editorial team of Repubblica. He was also the author of books such as What time is the end of the world ?, Traveling with Manu Chao, The reserve goalkeeper and OltreNero, he was also a huge fan of Torino. His story also struck Sinisa Mihajlovic, who when he sat on the grenade bench launched a public encouragement to the journalist: Come on Marco, we are waiting for you and cheering for you, he said in remembering Marco’s unshakable faith.
