Marco Lerín: Visionary in the Audiovisual and Business Fields with a Global Impact

Marco Lerín is a restless man who travels a lot and records everything with his camera. He is an audiovisual and business mentor, as well as a film director and engineer. He divides his time between the productions that he records himself and the training that he provides to those who want to learn his techniques. He is an artist, but also a businessman. He is an entrepreneur. He seeks to leave his positive mark on the world and presents himself as a visionary in the audiovisual and business fields. His company, MarcoLerinAcademy (www.marcolerin.com), has been his platform to share his experience and change the way we understand and use video as a communication tool.

Since 2015 Marco has been immersed in his passion for cinema, filming in countries around the world and collaborating with renowned brands. His creative approach is based on the premise of absolute freedom, a principle that he considers essential for quality audiovisual creation. “This creative freedom is the cornerstone of my philosophy, allowing me to highlight what I love and transmit powerful messages to the world,” he defends. The diversity of his product portfolio is evident, for example, with the creation of documentaries, including one that gives voice to a baby monkey urging humans to protect the rainforests of Costa Rica. “I like to make it clear that my commitment to filming animals, especially those in danger of extinction, reflects my commitment to conservation and my desire to raise awareness through art.”

To be able to do that work you have to make profits, because with art alone, without billing, you don’t eat. For this reason, Lerín is not limited to audiovisual production; He goes further by offering training to those who wish to follow in his footsteps. From the first moment he makes it very clear to them that a fair price must be charged for the work. The art that he intends to transmit is impossible to spread without having guaranteed economic stability, which is what allows him to develop his creativity. In addition to content creation, his venture includes broader collaborations such as the one he has developed with the Government of Sri Lanka, where he has taken up residence, to promote conscious and nature-friendly tourism. This activity demonstrates his commitment to initiatives that go beyond the limits of his company, to contribute to global well-being.

Marco describes his business model as an online academy, without fixed schedules, with a global community of learners who want to create impactful audiovisuals based on beauty, neuroscience and emotional marketing. “My goal is to allow anyone to live off what they really love,” he recalls. Marco started ten years ago when he decided to abandon engineering. He left Spain looking for an environment to fulfill himself personally and professionally. He was sure that in Spain he would not make it. When discussing the essential characteristics of an entrepreneur, he highlights the importance of believing in the vision and dream, being rooted in the present, and appreciating the process. Also, he warns against disconnecting values and our essence, because he believes that entrepreneurs have significant power that can be positive or negative.

Throughout this process, he recognizes that he has made the mistake of listening to the limitations projected by others and the fear instilled by conventional education. However, “my greatest success has been to bet on life and choose to undertake while enjoying the present.” He considers himself a brave, sensitive and freedom-loving man.

He tells me that the greatest value that his activity brings is that in a digitalized world, there are countless people with personal and professional projects rooted in values that improve our society and they must succeed, but there are some obstacles.

There are apprentices, and also professionals, who “do not use video correctly as a sales tool, they do not connect emotionally with others, they get lost in complex strategies, they walk alone and try to learn in very complex courses and training. They forget about the practice and their own soul.”
