Latvian guitar virtuoso Mārcis Auziņš invites you to a holiday meeting in Likteņdārz during the Latvian holiday week. In a special solo concert by Mārčas in Koknes, the best tunes of the most prominent Latvian composers will be performed, the arrangements of which Mārčas has recently published in his first book of sheet music .

“Latvian songs for solo guitar” was published at the beginning of autumn, and there are musical arrangements for Latvian guitar compositions, which were interesting to the author in the context of solo guitar – in the book you will find works by authors such as Zigmars Liepiņš, Raimonds Pauls, Imants Kalniņš, the groups Čikāgas piecīši, Opus Pro, Remix, etc. created melodies that can be heard in concert too, along with March’s own compositions.

“The place and time of the concert is not a coincidence”, says Mārcis, “with great pleasure I will perform part of the piece that is on my first music page in such an important place, between two such important holidays for our country – celebrating our freedom, without which I would not have such an opportunity, and thanks to our composers who created such wonderful melodies”.

Mārčas Auzizina’s musical vector remains unchanged, and solo music is the direction. It is a guitar playing instruction where basic musical functions (rhythm, melody, harmony) are combined in one way of playing and without electronic devices, creating a complete musical texture. The result of such a musical is a unique musical beauty, unique only to a solo guitar, which visitors will also enjoy at the concert – Likteņdarza in Saieta House this year. on November 16 at 18.00
