Szymon Marciniak he has been refereeing European cup matches (also counting the qualifying rounds) since July 2011, and his first match was the start of the first qualifying round to Europe Leagues between Aaalesunds FK and Ferencvaros (3: 1). So far Marciniak’s greatest achievement was refereeing the semi-finals Champions League in the 2021/2022 season between Liverpool and Villarreal (2:0) and the semi-finals Europe Leagues w 2017 roku (Olympique Lyon 3:1 Ajax Amsterdam).
