Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — Tweeters circulated a video clip showing a “march” in the streets of the Qatari capital, Doha, to celebrate the victory of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the presidential elections Sunday.
The Qatari Sheikh, Maryam Al Thani, published the video clip on her documented page on Twitter and commented on it by saying: “A march in the Qatari capital, Doha, to celebrate President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s victory in the Turkish presidential elections for a new term.”
A number of tweeters circulated the clip on Twitter widely, Sunday and Monday.
For his part, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulated Erdogan on his victory in the elections, saying on Twitter: “My dear brother Recep Tayyip Erdogan, congratulations on your victory, and I wish you success in your new term, and that you achieve in it what the brotherly Turkish people aspire to in terms of progress and prosperity.” And may the strong relations of our two countries further development and growth.”
