March 28 Update: News on Chychrun, Reilly Smith, Blankenburg, Ehlers, Zadina, Barzal, Fabbri, and Other Players’ Progress.

As the NHL regular season winds down and the playoff race heats up, there are several players making headlines for various reasons. From injury updates to clutch performances, the latest Ramblings column has all the latest news on hockey stars like Jakob Chychrun, Reilly Smith, and Moritz Seider. So, if you’re looking to stay up to date on the latest happenings in the hockey world, this is an article you won’t want to miss.

Jakob Chychrun’s health has been a concern for teams that have been interested in acquiring him over the last few seasons. He has failed to reach 70 games played for five straight 82-game seasons, but he did play the entire 56-game Bubble campaign. Recently, he missed a game due to a hamstring injury which will keep him out of play for a minimum of two weeks, and at best, he could be back for the last week of the season. While Chychrun has played 48 games overall, he has only played 12 games with Ottawa, with just five points. However, he’s been putting up great peripherals, and he’s not reliant on PP production for his fantasy value. A good offseason of training and a full camp with the team in September should have him as a great multi-cat option again. Meanwhile, despite Chychrun’s absence, Ottawa managed to beat Florida 5-2 on Monday night, with Brady Tkachuk, Shane Pinto, Erik Brannstrom, Alex DeBrincat, and Tim Stützle scoring for the team.

Meanwhile, Robby Fabbri is done for the season due to injuries, and Mathew Barzal has been out of the lineup for over five weeks and is still not back on the ice. With the postseason three weeks away, it seems any hope of fantasy owners having Barzal’s services for this campaign are slimming to none. On the other hand, Viktor Arvidsson was named the first star of the week thanks to his five goals and seven points. He has been producing for a while now, with 11 goals and 19 points in his last 20 games.

And there you have it, folks! Another round of Ramblings in the books. It’s always exciting to see how players develop and how their careers progress throughout the season. Chychrun, Reilly Smith, Blankenburg, Ehlers, Zadina, Barzal, Fabbri, and more are all making their mark in the NHL world, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. Stay tuned for more updates on their performances and the latest NHL news. Thanks for reading!
