Pekanbaru, InfoPublik – The Pekanbaru City Health Service (Diskes) will hold a simultaneous polio immunization, which is scheduled for March 2023. Polio immunization can be obtained at Posyandu, Puskesmas, and other health care facilities.
This was conveyed by the Head of Pekanbaru City Health Office, Zaini Rizaldy Saragih, Monday (6/2/2023). He explained that the implementation of this immunization is in order to prevent the spread of polio which can disrupt the growth of children.
“We are planning a schedule around March 20, 2023. Actually, even now polio immunization can be accessed at Community Health Centers and other health facilities,” he added.
Zaini said that polio immunization was carried out free of charge or without payment. This immunization is done to prevent paralysis of the legs.
“Polio immunization includes drip polio immunization and injectable polio, intended for children aged 0 months to 59 months. So parents should immediately get this immunization for their children,” he added. (Kominfo10Pku/RD5/Eyv)
