On the occasion of the General Assembly of the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG) held this Saturday, March 18, Bano Sow, one of the vice-presidents of the party spoke about the peaceful demonstration of the living forces of Guinea (FVG) scheduled for March 20.
For this leader of the party led by Cellou Dalein Diallo, the UFDG is ready for any watchword that will be given by the living forces of Guinea concerning the demonstration.
« The ANAD belongs to the forces vives and the forces vives have made declarations to demand prerequisites so that we can discuss our country. As you know, so far we are not finding the right path. The Prime Minister ended up asking the religious to help. Out of respect for them and because our president is a man of peace, we accepted the principle. We have clearly defined prerequisites so that we can sit down and obtain a constructive dialogue for our country. But as you know, so far we have not been successful. But out of respect for the religious, we agreed to postpone two demonstrations that we had planned because we needed to express ourselves, to express our dissatisfaction, to express our disagreement with the way the country is run. We cannot trust a junta that has made commitments and has so far not honored any commitments. This is why we have no choice but to express ourselves through the recourse that remains to us through demonstrations in public squares (…). Our leaders accepted that we agree to postpone the demonstration of March 09 when we were ready. But out of respect for the approach of the religious, we did it. Also on March 15, we agreed to postpone. All this, to show our good faith and our availability and that our country be managed according to the rules because there are no alternatives, the transition should lead to the restoration of constitutional order. Today, the living forces have requested that on Monday March 20 there be a demonstration. The clerics are once again asking to agree to postpone because they feel they have commitments and will be successful. We don’t trust anyone. We want results, we need concrete actions (…) “recalled Bano Sow at length before adding:” There will be a statement during the day. But for us UFDG, we are ready for all the slogans that will be given by the living forces ».
At the time when we put this article online, no word of order relating to a postponement of the peaceful demonstration of the living forces of Guinea had been given.
