Marcel Ciolacu announces when the package of fiscal measures will enter into force, which passed the CCR: Everything is in the pen of Klaus Iohannis
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu declared, on Wednesday evening, that, together with the social partners, the Government is going to establish the amount of the minimum wage increase in the economy for construction and agriculture, he referring to the tax package that passed the CCR, news.ro announces.
Asked when the tax package that passed the CCR will take effect, Marcel Ciolacu answered that after the law is promulgated.
“When the law is promulgated. On Friday we will hold a government meeting, next week an urgent meeting with all the social partners. As you know, we will make the decision regarding the minimum wage in construction and agriculture. Together with employers and unions, let’s determine the amount of the minimum wage increase per economy for construction and agriculture, so that by paying CASS no one loses a single lei in salary. The final proposal must also be accepted by the social partners. It doesn’t matter what the Ministry of Finance proposes or what I consider,” declared Marcel Ciolacu.
The Prime Minister criticized the former USR governors who passed fiscal reform measures in the PNRR, then attacked the CCR tax package.
“It has been proven, once again, that they are hypocrites. The fact that the PNRR passed these measures in the fiscal reform, they said that Romania must take these measures, they knew that Romania would have to take these measures, nevertheless they attacked the CCR so that it would be difficult for us to close the budget deficit this year”, said Ciolacu.
The Prime Minister specified that in the end Romanians will see the truth
“I saw that they had the same attitude regarding special pensions. They came with placards, they made a circus in the parliament, instead they did not attack the CCR. The fact that they did not attack the CCR shows me only one thing, that in fact they knew about all these things because they went to the PNRR, As an exception, the CCR’s decisions must be taken into force only with regard to the magistrates, insisting that the pensions of the military they are special pensions, not service pensions. I am firmly convinced that Romanians will slowly see the whole truth”, stated Ciolacu.
The CCR judges rejected, on Wednesday, as unfounded, the notification of the USR, Forţei Dreptei, also signed by the deputies Dan Vîlceanu and Gheorghe Pecingină, who were then in the PNL, on the package of fiscal measures for which the Government assumed responsibility and decided that the law is constitutional.
Thus, the Court found that “engaging the Government’s responsibility on the draft law aimed at a single and unitary goal, namely the increase of revenues to the national public budget and the reduction of state expenses”.
The law will be promulgated by President Klaus Iohannis, after the publication of the CCR’s reasoning.
